About Noorwood Academy
Noorwood Academy is a PK3–8 learning community committed to nurturing academic excellence, strong character, and meaningful growth in a safe, structured, and caring environment.
The name Noorwood reflects the heart of our philosophy. “Noor” (نور) means light in Arabic, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and guidance, while “wood” represents growth, strength, and deep roots. Together, Noorwood reflects our belief that learning should illuminate minds while helping students grow with strong values and purpose.
At Noorwood Academy, we believe children learn best when they feel supported, inspired, and connected. Our approach focuses on the growth of the whole child through strong academics, character development, enrichment opportunities, and meaningful relationships.

Our Programs
Noorwood Academy provides a well-rounded PK3–8 educational experience designed to support academic growth, character development, creativity, and real-world learning in a nurturing and structured environment.
Our early childhood program focuses on building strong foundations through hands-on learning, exploration, and play-based experiences.
Students develop:

Qur’an and Arabic are part of the core curriculum at Noorwood Academy and are integrated into the regular school week for all students.
Students develop:
• Qur’an recitation and memorization
• Proper pronunciation and Tajweed
• Arabic reading, writing, and communication
• Understanding of meaning and application
• Islamic manners and character development
Noorwood Academy also offers an optional Hifz pathway for students who demonstrate readiness and commitment.
The program includes:
• Structured memorization goals
• Qualified Qur’an instructors
• Daily review and support
• Balanced academic and memorization expectations
Every Friday is dedicated to enrichment, creativity, and real-world learning experiences.
